Bath time!

Ok apologies for the complete lack of posts over the last month but simply put, we're still waiting for response from the planners.  They were supposed to reply in writing over a week ago but when Tom contacted them they hadn't even started!  Oh give them a break it must be the weather ....... or Christmas .... or just the wrong type of snow.

However we have progressed a little by amazingly choosing all of our bathroom fixings  (?).  Go into one shop that has a large sale, take one pleasant attentive sales person and then let Matt, Flora and occasionally Isla climb all over your demonstration pieces.  I thought it was going to be headache (remembering our time in John Lewis trying to decide wedding gift list) but it was great.  Look at three similar taps then look at the price, choose the one that has a large discount, simple!

Apart from that we are in limbo land until we get some feed back from the planning / conservation people.  The idea is still to hopefully have an oak framed load bearing house and envelop it in hempcrete.  Have a look at this video to see what I mean .... we may be calling on you for some help.

We've been around some houses looking at the possibility of using aluminum coated window frames as we might be in danger of having too much wood and this also means very low maintenance for many years to come.  

We did have a aspiration that the planning application would firstly be in by September then it slipped to December so now that will be 2011.
